Welcome to Oakleaf High School's Little Squires Learning Lab
The Early Childhood Education students at Oakleaf High School are excited to work with the children that attend the Little Squires Learning Laboratory. The Little Squires is an on-site child care center for School Board employees’ children and the community. The OHS students have the opportunity to plan and teach the Pre-K children using the University of North Florida’s ELLM Plus curriculum along with the STAR program used in the elementary schools to monitor progress. This learning lab allows Early Childhood Education students an opportunity to develop teaching skills they will need to work in the child care industry or as a future elementary teacher. The center is open from 6:45 am until 4:15 pm each day that Clay County students are in attendance; for example, not open during planning days or holidays.
